WASHINGTON. THE HOT PINK AND GOLD DRESS. JACQUELINE KENNEDY. OOAK

Evening dress and cape in hot-pink-and-gold silk organza and metallic-brocaded silk organza, trimmed in olive silk velvet ,1962. Benefit perfomance of the musical Mr.President for the Joseph P. Kennedy Jr.Foundation, National Theatre, Washington, D.C. , September 6, 1962. During his February 1962 visit to the White House, King Saud of Saudi Arabia presented the first lady with a length of magnificent silk brocade. She had this fabric made into an evening dress by A La Carte, a fashionable Manhattan boutique, whose designer Joan Morse was noted  for the flamboyant clothes she made from fabrics collected on her word travels.

I have accomplished a big chunk of work to reproduce this fashion. The fabric drawing was done manually by “000” brush. I used a special fabric paints including gold and silver one.

This OOAK fashion includes the  dress, cape, earrings, gloves and purse (opening).

It is fully lined.

$450 shipped   SOLD
